Resolution asking City Council to Reconsider PAVE Grant

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Executive Committee of Nueces County Republican Party supports the effort by our conservative council members, to place the PAVE grant back on the agenda to revisit the prior vote taken by the Corpus Christi City Council. And,

Resolution Opposing the Promotion of mRNA Gene-Therapy Injections

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that we the people of the Nueces County Republican Party UNEQUIVOCALLY oppose any continued misinformation and disinformation regarding the safety and efficacy of the mRNA gene-therapy COVID injections and the promotion of these dangerous injections by all county and city government entities and/or entities utilizing public funding through any media, program or campaign without explicit informed consent addressing known adverse effects, including death.  As elected officials, the Nueces County Commissioners Court and City of Corpus Christi City Council have authority over the Corpus Christi-Nueces County Public Health District, and as such are ultimately responsible for the safety and welfare of all citizens and residents.

No Mandate Enforcement in Nueces County Resolution

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Nueces County Republican Party Strongly Urges the Nueces County Commissioners Court, to pass the following Resolution / Policy …


Section 1. Nueces County will not enforce any mandate:
(a) that requires a person to wear a mask or any other face covering;
(b) that confines a citizen to their domicile;
(c) that requires businesses to alter their business operation including but not limited to spacing
requirements, modified hours of operations, or cessation of operations;
(d) requiring the administration of a vaccine; further within the Nueces County a person shall not compel
or coerce an individual lawfully residing or employed in in or otherwise enjoy all the conveniences of the
County into obtaining a medical treatment involving the administration of
a vaccine, whether or not approved or authorized by the United States Food and Drug Administration,
contrary to the individual's vaccination preference;
(e) a health care provider may not provide to an individual lawfully residing in the City a medical
treatment involving the administration of a vaccine approved or authorized by the United States Food and
Drug Administration unless the provider obtains the individual's informed consent before administering the
vaccine;
(f) an individual lacks the capacity to provide informed consent for a medical treatment involving the
administration of a vaccine if the individual has been compelled or coerced into being vaccinated contrary
to the individual's vaccination preference; and
(g) a person may not take an adverse action or impose a penalty of any kind against an individual

Resolution Asking Speaker Dade Phelan to Resign as Speaker or
For the House to Vacate the Chair

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Nueces County Republican Party calls on Speaker Dade Phelan to step down from his leadership role as Speaker of the Texas House of  Representatives and to allow a new Speaker to be elected after a caucus vote held in accordance with the Republican Party of Texas Platform; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that should Speaker Dade Phelan fail to step down from the Speaker chair for this upcoming special session, the Republican Representatives should vote to vacate the chair and allow for a new Speaker – one who has pledged to honor and support the Priorities and Principles of the Republican Party – to be elected.

Resolution Calling for Action in Colony Ridge

Resolution Calling for Action in Colony Ridge

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Nueces County Republican Party asks for legislation to be added to the upcoming special session call, or to a subsequent special session, to prevent further settlement of undocumented immigrants in Colony Ridge and any other areas of Texas; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Nueces County Republican Party recognizes and supports the efforts of Congressman Brian Babin, who represents Liberty County, for his role in drawing attention to this crisis; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Nueces County Republican Party calls on Attorney General Ken Paxton to initiate a full investigation into the development activities of Colony Ridge Land, LLC, and its possible connections to elected officials in the region.

Resolution Opposing the Department of Environmental Sustainability

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Nueces County Republican Party STRENUOUSLY Opposes any attempt by any elected or appointed public official to fund, give authority to, or staff the department of environmental sustainability or similar such entity in Corpus Christi. Corpus Christi should lead the way in Texas by rejecting the non-scientific, economically wasteful, unneeded, and devoid of positive impact entity known as a Department of Environmental Sustainability.

Resolution Opposing HB4636

Supporting the Freedom of County Executive Committees (Oppose HB4636)

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Nueces County Republican Party STRENUOUSLY OBJECTS to Texas House Bill 4636, as introduced, and to any bill that would similarly alter the necessary balance of power that currently exists between a county chair and a CEC's precinct chairs; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be sent to each  member of the Texas Legislature.
