Debate Success, Texas Independence Dinner & Important Election Dates Ahead
Last week’s Congressional District 34 Debate was a great success, with strong attendance and an engaged audience. The candidates were respectful, well-prepared, and provided thoughtful answers that gave voters valuable insight into the race. 2026 Candidate Filing
In order to run and appear on the Republican Party Primary Ballot in 2026 you must file an application between November 8th, 2025 and December 8th, 2025.

Nueces County Republican Party Calls for Prayers for Evergreen High Victims
Corpus Christi, Nueces County, Texas —
On September 10th, a tragedy occurred at Evergreen High School in Colorado when a student opened fire and shot two fellow students, wounding them, before fatally shooting himself. The hearts of the Nueces County Republican Party go out to the victims and their families in this sad time. Students should be able to go to their campuses without fear for their lives.

Nueces County Republican Party Calls for Prayers for Charlie Kirk’s Family
Corpus Christi, Nueces County, Texas —
On September 10th, the Nueces County Republican Party was saddened to learn about the violent assassination of Charlie Kirk while he visited Utah Valley University for an event. Mr. Kirk was murdered while exercising one of our fundamental rights as Americans: engaging in free speech. For this to occur on a college campus, a place where such rights should be championed the most, is disheartening.

AUSTIN — Texas Secretary of State Jane Nelson today drew the ballot order for the 17 proposed amendments to the Texas Constitution. Texans will vote on these amendments as a part of the November 4 Election.
“Texas lawmakers have proposed 17 amendments to the state constitution, and now Texans will have the opportunity to weigh in on each amendment,” said Secretary Nelson. “This is an opportunity to make your voice heard about the governing document of our state.”
In order to be placed on the ballot, a proposed amendment must be a joint resolution approved by at least two-thirds of the Texas House and Senate.
